I have had my Scan and Cut for about 3 years. It spent most of the first year in its box because I didnt have a proper craft room. Because I couldn't leave it out for long it didn't really get used properly. I'm pleased to say I now have a craftroom of my own now and use it much more. I still don't think it gets used to its full potential but it is used more than it used to be.
I must admit it was a bit intimidating at first. I had for many years had a little cricut machine and I got along quite nicely with it, but its now old, and if it breaks down its obsolete. I did think about getting a Cricut Maker, but watching Create and Craft it seemed the Scan and Cut could do much more. The decision was made when the CM900 Scan and Cut was on offer, and so it found its way into my basket.
The instructions were really quite simple and straightforward. However there is so much more it can do than are in the instructions.
I staryed out cutting card blanks as at the time I was predominantly making cards. I dont think I will ever have to buy a card blank again. With the help of a Tattered Lace usb I started on boxes. This was really easy and all of the mats were cut on the Scan and Cut as well. Of course all of the things I made could be resized on the machine so you have everything in any size you could ever want.
I have recently ventured into Mixed Media, and it even comes in usefull with this. Everything on this picture was cut on my Scan and cut.
The Scan and Cut is now a peace of equipment I would not be without. I'm still learning the things it can do. I've even managed to create some files of my own. With that I am off to play. See you soon😀
