Often I hear people say "whete do you get all of your ideas from?" Well I take inspiration from other people and put my own twist on it. Another thing I do is use card Sketches. A card sketch is simply a template to guide you in putting a card together. You can easily find them on the Internet. Over the next few weeks I am going to make some cards using a card sketch. Each week I will show you a different style of card made from the same sketch This is the sketch I have chosen. As you see it has come from Paper Play Sketches so thank you to them for the use of the template. You can see it is made up of very basic shapes, so it's just going to be a case of some simple mats and layers. This is the card I have made. The design set is from The Great Outdoors by The Card Hut. I have printed the papers and toppers on Navigator Paper, which is widely available in Wilkinsons. I am a huge fan of the Tatteted Lace Memories range of scrapbook papers and usb's.  The latest in the range is The Vintage Steampunk Collection. The 12x12 paper pad has 32 sheets of double sided papers in it. There are 16 sheets with 2 of each in the pack. The paper has a different finish to the previous pads as it has a satin finish. Despite this you can still stamp on it. I've been looking for a paper collection to do a scrapbook about my dad and I think this is it. Louise is 32 now and can only vaguely remember my dad. Adam is 27 and was only 2 when my dad passed away, so he doesn't remember him at all. This to me is very sad as he loved them both so much. I want them to have something to remember him. The usb has everything that is in the paper pad and more. There are more papers, and more embellishments. On the USB everything comes in two formats, 8x8 and A4. I think this Collection is a huge win for me, and I can't wait to get started with it.

Invest in good scoring board. I have the Ultimate by Crafters Companion. I've been using it for years and it's never let me down yet. There are loads of very good score boards on the market. Do some research, compare diffetent models and pick one that meets your needs and your pocket. Pick a bone folder that meets your needs. Again there are loads on the market. I have a lot of different bone folders I have collected over the years, but my favorite is a Teflon one. It gives a good crease and doesn't mark the card. When you use your bone folder hold it firmly in your hand and use the tip by running it firmly along the fold of your card. I start in the middle of the fold and crease half of the fold and the repeat to form the crease on the second half. Make sure you hold your bone folder at a small low angle. This allows you to apply more pressure as you crease the card. Always score with the grain of the card to get a good crease. If you don't have a score board you can i

I seem to have outgrown my craftroom in the attic. I cant get moved, and have stuff piled up all over the place. One of the main problems I have is I can't utilise any wall space because I am in the eves of the house. I think a move is needed. So starting this weekend I am going g to move everything into the spare bedroom. It may take a while as I have so much stuff. The walls in the spare room are straight so at least I can get some shelves up. Fingers crossed I don't outgrow this one as well.                                        🙄🙄🙄🙄
