Often I hear people say "whete do you get all of your ideas from?"
Well I take inspiration from other people and put my own twist on it. Another thing I do is use card Sketches. A card sketch is simply a template to guide you in putting a card together. You can easily find them on the Internet.
Over the next few weeks I am going to make some cards using a card sketch. Each week I will show you a different style of card made from the same sketch
This is the sketch I have chosen. As you see it has come from Paper Play Sketches so thank you to them for the use of the template. You can see it is made up of very basic shapes, so it's just going to be a case of some simple mats and layers.
This is the card I have made. The design set is from The Great Outdoors by The Card Hut. I have printed the papers and toppers on Navigator Paper, which is widely available in Wilkinsons.
The base card is a piece of A4 white card folded in half. All of the sections have been layered onto white card and black card, and then glued in place. It was very easy to do and I think it makes a very effective card
Next week I will be using the same sketch to make a different style of card.
