I Pledge to Reduce my Carbon Footprint

I am very aware of the need to reduce my carbon footprint before it is to late. At present World Leaders are meeting in Glasgow to discuss setting targets to fight Climate Change.

Today I have made the decision to make my crafting as environment friendly as I can.

I have made an amazon wishlist of recycled craft products I would like to try. I am starting with this black card. I bought 200 sheets of 270g recycled card for £19.95. It is a little more expensive than the card I normally buy, but I can live with that if it is helping in the fight against climate change. The quality of the card appears to be very good, and it seems to be a true black. I'm planning on lots of tutorials and other videos once my new craft room is finished so I'll let you know how it goes.

As you know I am a great fan of digital crafting. In the future I plan to buy as little as possible of pre printed craft sheets. I will stick with printable items. That way I will print only what I need. I won't be buying a full pad for a couple of sheets.

Of course another thing I am planning to do is use up all of the craft supplies I already have. That should keep me going for a while 🤣.

If I come up with anything new I will let you know. So please take a step back and think of ways you can protect our beautiful planet before it is to late.

Happy Crafting.

Christmas Wreath Decoration.

I made this Wreath using files from a Carnation crafts Christmas usb. It was really easy to make. It comes with all of the mats and layers you need as well as all of the decoupage. There are 3 mat layers. I cut two base layers in black, a middle layer in gold and the top layer in black. I cut two base layers because I have put a ribbon loop at the top so you can hang the finished Wreath up. I simply held the ribbon in place with a piece of tape and then sandwiched it between the two black base layers. Then I added the gold layer and finally the black top layer. Next was the decoupage. I printed the decoupage onto 128gsm Navigator paper. This is my go to paper. The print quality is exellent. I get mine in bulk from amazon but if you have a Wilko nearby they sell it as well. I glued the base layer in place flat. Then I added the decoupage pieces using silicone glue. I shaped the pieces to give a better effect by just gently moulding the pieces with my fingers. The sentiment was cut from ...

New Products

I have some new products I will be adding to my website this week. First up I have this beautiful metallic water colour set. 12 different colours with a fine brush and a Japanese Water Brush. These paints have a beautiful shimmering finish. This little mini album kit is great to pop into your handbag. Watch out as I am going to make a video showing how I decorated this album. This handy little wheel contains some very pretty little purls. They come in a selection of mixed colours and are perfect to add a bit of glam to your cards. I am adding new products all the time so pop over and have a look. You can visit the website here Celticmoon Crafts

Making Videos

As you know I am busy getting content onto my YouTube Channel. I have made several videos over the last couple of weeks. I am not 100% comfortable with talking on videos. I am very aware of my very Geordie accent. I also get very nervous and feel like I am stumbling over my words, or in some places I feel there are awkward silences. I have tried making videos with no commentary in them, but they aren't right either. I am hoping I have found the solution to my problem. I have discovered this handy little app. It has enabled me to edit photos together and add text instructions to the pictures. I have been playing with it over the past couple of days, and so far I am impressed. I shall be adding videos made with this app soon. In the meantime if you would like to check out my YouTube Channel  you can find it here  Celticmoon Crafts YouTube Channel Until next time Happy Crafting
