A Day in The Life of a Crafter

I have always had an interest in crafts and handmade items of all kinds, but I never considered myself to be very good. I set up an Instagram account first and I got some very nice comments about the things I had made.

I thought it might be a good idea to share with you my typical crafty day. As you know I am at present a nurse, although I don't know how much longer I will be working. I'm hoping I can retire in the next couple of years. Anyway this is my crafty day when I am not at work.

I wake up  roll out of bed and head downstairs for breakfast. I'm not a fan of huge breakfasts but I have to have something. After breakfast it's time to take Star out gonna walk. She loves her walk.

After that it's back home and into The Craftroom. I spend some time finishing of a project  orcstarting a new one. I always seem to have more than one project on the go at once. At the minute I am working on some new items for a nature themed fair I am taking part in in April.

I usually have Createcand Craft on when I am working, so chances are I will be topping up my supplies. 😁 I could happily spend all day and every day in my craftroom. I'm notvsure Dave would be very happy about that however.

I like to browse Pinterest at some point. I have several boards that I use for inspiration. There are some very talented crafters out there. They always inspire me to try something new.

Lunchtime is time gor snuggles with Star. She loves a snuggle. As well as a time gor food and drink it's a good time to catch up on social media and see what everyone else is up to. It's also a time to remember to get something out of the freezer for tea.

Back to the craftroom for a bit more play. Before I know it it's time to take Star out again. No more crafting after that because it will soon be time for Dave to come home from work.

Until next time
Keep Crafting.

Two Red Robins Magazine - Issue 3

While I was away in Italy issue 2 of the Two Red Robins Magazine was released on Create and Craft. I have no idea how much it cost on Create and Craft, but it was on the Highlight Crafts website for £14.99. Because I am a member of the Highlight Craft Club I got it gor £12.99 with free postage. The free cover die this month is a hydrangea and it comes with two sheets of charisma, backing papers and scene sheets. You can download further copies from the Highlight website. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, I have two huge ones in my garden, so this die is going to be very useful to me. The magazine has some projects using the cover die. Great for anyone looking for inspiration, but especially usefull for somebody just starting on a crafty journey There are also some projects using other Two Red Robin Die Sets. There are also projects using a mixture of dies from different collections.  I like to see projects like this, they are a great source of inspiration, but im sure you can

My Weight Loss Journey

I have quite bad arthritis in both of my knees. The extra weight I am carrying about is not helping them at all. Its time I took action and got rid of the extra pounds. I am going to do this by simple calorie counting. At present I cant afford a Slimming group, but I know if I am in the right place mentally I can do this, I have done it before.   We get a Wonky vegetable box delivered every week so I am going to be cooking healthy low calorie food using the items in the box. I have all of the Pinch of Nom, Slimming Eats, Slimming Foodie, and Sugar Pink Foods cookbooks so I will have plenty of choice.     My food is planned out for the next week, and I will be recording everything on my Samsung Health App. It always helps me to record everything.     I got of to a good start as I have lost 2lbs this week. Fingers crossed I can keep it up.
