The Advantages of Making Mini Albums

Mini albums are fun to make and also great to store small items such as pictures, cards and other memorabilia that you want to preserve without cluttering your home with bulky photo albums. If you love making mini albums as much as I do, it's only natural that you would want to continue making them in order to preserve all your precious memories from your life and from the lives of your loved ones; friends, family members and pets! Making mini albums has its advantages, including the following

Making mini albums is a great way to save money on scrapbooking supplies. Rather than spending a lot on larger albums, you can make numerous smaller ones and arrange them in different ways so they don’t take up as much space. To make sure that your albums stay durable, however, you should use archival-quality materials and add reinforcements when necessary. It’s also important to use high-quality supplies when making these mini scrapbooks

The best part about making mini albums is that they require you to use only a small number of pages, thereby saving you time. Most scrapbookers end up using more than half a dozen pages in an album and it’s not uncommon for them to get into trouble because of that. When you’re working on a mini album, you don’t have to worry about investing a lot of money and time in it.

It's really fun to turn a bunch of random photos into a mini album, and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon with your favorite child or friend. Decorating them adds another element of fun, as you can mix and match all sorts of scrapbook papers and embellishments. Just don't go overboard—if you add too many embellishments, your album will end up looking tacky instead of cute.

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love giving handmade gifts to friends and family. What better way to do it than a mini album! They are small enough that you can easily carry them with you wherever you go, but big enough to be able to fit in lots of pictures and memorabilia. There is no limit as to what they can be filled with.

Photo albums are great to have when you're travelling, but they take up a lot of space. If you enjoy photography and documenting your adventures, consider keeping a photo journal in mini-albums. Not only do they take up less space than regular albums, but you can also fit a lot more photos into them than standard 8x10 photographs! Since many photo books are available in hardback as well as paperback form now, it’s never been easier to document your travels while preserving memories at home.

Take Notice of Your Surroundings

We tend to live in a bubble, only seeing what’s right in front of us, or focusing on things that relate to our interests. It’s easy to be unaware of your surroundings, but you might find some new friends if you just take notice of people around you. Your social circle is expanding as we speak, and it can be difficult to stay connected with everyone; however, all it takes is one person with whom you share something in common. After talking with them for a few minutes, they could lead you toward someone else who shares an interest of yours. Before long, your social circle will expand exponentially. Take notice: it’s important! You never know who you could meet. You never know where life might take you. And you never know how many new friendships might come out of seemingly random encounters. Expand your horizons and make more connections by taking more notice today. Who knows where it could lead? Who knows who you’ll meet? And most importantly, who knows how many amazing things will hap...

A Day in The Life of a Crafter

I have always had an interest in crafts and handmade items of all kinds, but I never considered myself to be very good. I set up an Instagram account first and I got some very nice comments about the things I had made. I thought it might be a good idea to share with you my typical crafty day. As you know I am at present a nurse, although I don't know how much longer I will be working. I'm hoping I can retire in the next couple of years. Anyway this is my crafty day when I am not at work. I wake up  roll out of bed and head downstairs for breakfast. I'm not a fan of huge breakfasts but I have to have something. After breakfast it's time to take Star out gonna walk. She loves her walk. After that it's back home and into The Craftroom. I spend some time finishing of a project  orcstarting a new one. I always seem to have more than one project on the go at once. At the minute I am working on some new items for a nature themed fair I am taking part in in April. I usually...

Christmas Wreath Decoration.

I made this Wreath using files from a Carnation crafts Christmas usb. It was really easy to make. It comes with all of the mats and layers you need as well as all of the decoupage. There are 3 mat layers. I cut two base layers in black, a middle layer in gold and the top layer in black. I cut two base layers because I have put a ribbon loop at the top so you can hang the finished Wreath up. I simply held the ribbon in place with a piece of tape and then sandwiched it between the two black base layers. Then I added the gold layer and finally the black top layer. Next was the decoupage. I printed the decoupage onto 128gsm Navigator paper. This is my go to paper. The print quality is exellent. I get mine in bulk from amazon but if you have a Wilko nearby they sell it as well. I glued the base layer in place flat. Then I added the decoupage pieces using silicone glue. I shaped the pieces to give a better effect by just gently moulding the pieces with my fingers. The sentiment was cut from ...
