A few weeks back I bought some Zuri Egyptian Moulds from Create and Craft. With the stress in my life over the last couple of weeks I have only just gotten around to using them.
I cut the base plate from greyboard using the basic shapes on my scan and cut. The greyboard was recycled from board backed envelopes. I glued 4 layers together to form a sturdy base.
I covered the base with a paper from the Tattered Lace Egyptian Classics Collection. I neatened the edges of the paper by simply filing the edges with an emeryboard. I got a big packet of them from Poundland.
I painted all of the resin casts I had made with black acrylic paint. When the paint was dry I highlighted all of the casts with Creative Expressions Lustre Polish.
Finally I glued all of the pieces onto the base. I used Pinflair glue gel for that because I wanted something strong to hold them in place.
I am really happy with the result and plan to use these moulds again in future.
