Moonlight After Dark usb

I am a huge fan of Linda Ravenscrofts artwork. I was delighted a couple of months back when the Moonlight After Dark usb was released on The Card Hut website. It was available for pre release, so there was no question and I ordered it straight away.

Weeks went by and the release date approached. Then I recieved an email to say due to unforseen circumstances the usb would not be ready in time. They did however send me a file of some decoupage sheets so I could start crafting while I was waiting for the usb to arrive.

I made this card with the files sent to me. The images were just so me. I couldn't wait for the usb to arrive.

More time passed and then I got an email saying unfortunately the usb was not going to be available any longer and I was issued a full refund 😭

About 3 weeks ago I was delighted to see the usb make an appearance on Create and Craft. Yay. Of course I ordered it.

I recieved a dispatch notice on June 13th but a week later I still did not have the usb. I contacted Creste and Craft who said there had been a delay with the usb and it would be with me as soon as possible. Nice of them to let me know I must say.

Today this finally arrived through my letterbox.

Happy Dancing around the house. I'm not sure I believe it is really here. Watch this space to see what I make with it.

Until next time

Happy Crafting

Take Notice of Your Surroundings

We tend to live in a bubble, only seeing what’s right in front of us, or focusing on things that relate to our interests. It’s easy to be unaware of your surroundings, but you might find some new friends if you just take notice of people around you. Your social circle is expanding as we speak, and it can be difficult to stay connected with everyone; however, all it takes is one person with whom you share something in common. After talking with them for a few minutes, they could lead you toward someone else who shares an interest of yours. Before long, your social circle will expand exponentially. Take notice: it’s important! You never know who you could meet. You never know where life might take you. And you never know how many new friendships might come out of seemingly random encounters. Expand your horizons and make more connections by taking more notice today. Who knows where it could lead? Who knows who you’ll meet? And most importantly, who knows how many amazing things will hap...

A Day in The Life of a Crafter

I have always had an interest in crafts and handmade items of all kinds, but I never considered myself to be very good. I set up an Instagram account first and I got some very nice comments about the things I had made. I thought it might be a good idea to share with you my typical crafty day. As you know I am at present a nurse, although I don't know how much longer I will be working. I'm hoping I can retire in the next couple of years. Anyway this is my crafty day when I am not at work. I wake up  roll out of bed and head downstairs for breakfast. I'm not a fan of huge breakfasts but I have to have something. After breakfast it's time to take Star out gonna walk. She loves her walk. After that it's back home and into The Craftroom. I spend some time finishing of a project  orcstarting a new one. I always seem to have more than one project on the go at once. At the minute I am working on some new items for a nature themed fair I am taking part in in April. I usually...

Christmas Wreath Decoration.

I made this Wreath using files from a Carnation crafts Christmas usb. It was really easy to make. It comes with all of the mats and layers you need as well as all of the decoupage. There are 3 mat layers. I cut two base layers in black, a middle layer in gold and the top layer in black. I cut two base layers because I have put a ribbon loop at the top so you can hang the finished Wreath up. I simply held the ribbon in place with a piece of tape and then sandwiched it between the two black base layers. Then I added the gold layer and finally the black top layer. Next was the decoupage. I printed the decoupage onto 128gsm Navigator paper. This is my go to paper. The print quality is exellent. I get mine in bulk from amazon but if you have a Wilko nearby they sell it as well. I glued the base layer in place flat. Then I added the decoupage pieces using silicone glue. I shaped the pieces to give a better effect by just gently moulding the pieces with my fingers. The sentiment was cut from ...
