Change of Plans

It was my intention to do a card making tutorial today. Sadly I'm in no state to do that as I had a steriod injection in my arthritic knee this morning, and am in quite a bit of pain. All I have managed is a bit of paper clay distraction therapy. It really didn't help much. Hopefully it will have settled fown by tomorrow and I will be able to do something better for you. Take care and keep safe. I will be back soon.

My Favorite Tools - My Scan and Cut.

I have had my Scan and Cut for about 3 years. It spent most of the first year in its box because I didnt have a proper craft room. Because I couldn't leave it out for long it didn't really get used properly. I'm pleased to say I now have a craftroom of my own now and use it much more. I still don't think it gets used to its full potential but it is used more than it used to be.      I must admit it was a bit intimidating at first. I had for many years had a little cricut machine and I got along quite nicely with it, but its now old, and if it breaks down its obsolete. I did think about getting a Cricut Maker, but watching Create and Craft it seemed the Scan and Cut could do much more. The decision was made when the CM900 Scan and Cut was on offer, and so it found its way into my basket.     The instructions were really quite simple and straightforward. However there is so much more it can do than are in the instructions.     I staryed out cutting

How It All Began

Welcome to my brand new crafty blog.   My Crafty Story is a long one and really began when I was a child.I remember sitting for hours watching my Gran Knitting. As I got older I wanted to learn to knit so she taught me. I knitted a lot of things for myself as I got better. When my children were small I knitted a lot of clothes for them, I loved to knit picture jumpers, and remember knitting one for Louise that had Gromit on the front.  I did,  a bit of Cross Stitch for which I have designed my own charts, and I have done a bit of dressmaking. Mind you only good enough for myself, whereas my daughter wishes to make a career from dressmaking.   My obsession with paper crafting started several years ago when I hurt my back at work and was off for quite a few months until I was recovered. I was casually hoping through the TV channels one day and came across Create and Craft. I watched a card making show and thought "I can do that". Digital Crafting to me is an amazing thing,
