Create and Craft

    The Covid 19 Pandemic has made us into different people. We are a lot more reliant on the Internet than we were. We have done more and more shopping on line over the past years, but this year while we have been in lockdown that has rocketed.
     As a crafter i have always bought most of my supplies on line. We only have one craftstore in our area, and truthfully I find it rather expensive.
    Many years ago now I became a Create and Craft Club Member, and this is my go to craft store. I have had a lot of stuff from them over the years.

I bought my Scan and Cut from Create and Craft. This is absolutely the best bit of equipment I have in my craftroom. I use it everyday, and for just about everything.

This is the newest Tattered Lace usb and it has just arrived. Im looking forward to using it, more so because it has Halloween cutting files on it.
I have seen comments from people who are not happy with the service they get from Create and Craft, but i have to say i have never had bad service from them. If there is a problem it is always sorted out very quickly.
Flexipay means you can spread the cost of more expensive items, and of course have them delivered to your door. Club membership means 10% discount on everything which is a plus from me.
The choice of products is huge. From cutting dies, to CDroms and usbs for digital crafting.

This is my "little" stash of CDroms and usbs. I have about 200, most of which came from Create and Craft. I use them all a lot as I am a huge fan of digital crafting.

Christmas Mini Album Page 1

Today I have done the first page of my mini album. It's a simple gatefold page. I cut the page to 7.5x7.5 ins. The two side flaps are cut at 5.5x5.5 ins and scored at 1.5 ins on the short side. I stuck the flaps at each side of the page to form the gatefold. I chose complimentary papers in traditional Christmas colours from rhe Classic Christmas Collection by Hunkydory. I cut all of the papers .25 of an inch smaller than the pages and flaps to give a border all of the way round. If you are using magnet closures remember to place them before you add your decorative papers. Christmas Mini Album

As part of my Christmas in July Event I have today started work on a new Mini Album The papers I am using for the Album are The Classic Christmas Collection from Hunkydory. I have the Hunkydory at Home usb so I can print as many sheets as I need which is a good thing. I started with the cover today. The album is 8x8ins so I cut a piece of gold mirri card 7.75x7.75ins to go on the front. I then cut a piece of paper from the Collection 7.5x7.5ins and stuck it on top of the mirri card. I chose a topper to match the paper to add to the front. It's worth adding here that I cut the topper out on my scan and cut. All of the Hunkydory at Home toppers have lines that in the original die cut toppers were where you popped out the different layers. If you scan your sheet and use the direct cut function your machine will recognise these lines as cut lines and cut the toppers out perfectly.
