Butterfly Card

I made this pretty card today.

I used The Kanban Designer Collection Vol. 1 to make it. The Collection on the usb is Butterfly Collection.

I used an A5 card blank. Then I printed two commentary papers, and a sheet of toppers. I chose these two toppers from the sheet I printed.

I stuck the first backing paper in place using a general craft glue. I cut it 1/2 cm smaller than the card which gives a 1/4 cm border all around.

I stuck the next backing paper on top again with a 1/4 cm border all the way around.

This is the pretty topper I chose to go on the card.

I wanted to give some dimension to the card so I put double sided adhesive foam pads on the back. Make sure you use plenty of foam pads to support the topper. If you don't it's likely over time the topper will collapse and spoil the look of the card.

Choose carefully where you want to place the topper on the front of the card. The Paper I used has a lovely butterfly border so I thought just to the side of it looked good.

Finally I finished of the card with this little bumble bee topper. Again I put those topper onto foam pads to give some dimension and to match the rest of the card.

I hope you like this tutorial and take some inspiration from it.

Until next time

Happy Crafting.

Ebay Finds

Like many other crafters i like a bargain. I don't always have a huge amount of money to buy supplies  so it id always good when I can find a bargain. I am a huge fan of digital crafting as I find it much more economical than buying ready printed products. I have a huge collection of craft cdroms and usbs. I have started checking out ebay for digital bargains and have found quite a few recently. I got this for £5 and it was worth every penny. The papers on it are beautiful. I am presently making a V8ntage Christmas Memory Book using this cdrom. I am a great fan of Joanna Sheen. This triple cdrom was also £5. I have lots of plans for this one. I am a great fan of anything Oriental. Joanna Sheen again. It suddenly struck me that I dont have anything with a baby theme. What would I do if someone asked me for a baby card, or a baby book. So of course I took to ebay again. Now if someone asks me gor something for a new arrival I am ready. Crafters Companion brought out this cdrom a few ...

Celticmoon Crafts

I started Celticmoon Crafts quite a few years ago now. As a passionate crafter I wanted to share my ideas with others, so I started to design my own craft sheets.         This is one of my favorite design sheets. I love anything Oriental.       I produced 20 card making CDroms, covering a range of subjects. This was one of my first CDroms. I love digital crafting. Its much more economical than buying ready printed sheets. If you run put just print another sheets. Of course I have been known to run put of ink before which isn't always good.       I made this card using one of my own designs. Anubis is my favorite Egyptian God. He gets a lot of undeserved bad publicity in my opinion.     I've done a lot of craft fairs in the past.  Sometimes they are very very good and sometimes very very bad. I have been to craft fairs where I have sold loads, and I have been to ...
