Doeflex Sheets

    Over the pastvyear I have really enjoyed mixed media. I have collected quite a large amount of stencils. Now as a scan and cut owner I know it is great for cutting your own stencils. Indeed I have cut quite a few with huge success.

    This week Create and Craft have the new In the Studio usb Stylish Stencils. I do intend to get this usb but it will be when it is available on The Highlights Crafts website.

    One thing they have advertised is a pack of 10 sheets of Doflex for £17.99. Please don't pay that amount of money. You can get it much cheaper from other places.



For example I got this pack of 50 sheets from ebay for £21.99. If you bought this amount from Create and Craft it would cost you £89.95. I find that quite unbelievable.

Please don't buy immediately you see something. I have been guilty of that in the past myself. I guess having a row with Create and Craft has made me look other places and what I have found is sometimes quite amazing.

Now when I watch Create and Craft when I see something I am intetested in I look on the Internet to see if I can get it cheaper elsewhere. 9 times out of 10 I can.

So keep searching bargains are out there to be had.

The Great Pumpkin is on The Way

    Like many people I am a great fan of the Peanuts Cartoon Strip, and in particular the ever lovable dog Snoopy. What would the Pesnuts Gang be without him?. Anyone who follows the adventures of the Peanuts Gang will know its almost time for The Great Pumpkin. According to Linus he comes every year delivering toys and gifts to the good boys and girls who sit in the pumpkin patch on Halloween waiting for him to arrive. Of course he eaits every year  usually with Snoopy and The Great Pumpkin never arrives, but he never looses faith  and every year he is back thete waiting.     Halloween is still two months away, but of course we crafters have to get ready for it on lots of time. Health Scare

I have been notably absent over the past couple of weeks. The reason is I have had a health Scare. I returned from the MPC Gala in Edinburgh at the begining of May and developed a niggly pain in my right foot. I thought I had overdone it a bit at the Gala so didn't take much notice. However the pain got worse and eventually I had to go and see my Doctor. She thought I may have  a stress fracture and sent me for an X Ray to check. My X Ray showed a lesion on my toe joint that could not be identified. I was immediately referred to an Orthopaedic Oncologist. Then followed the worst two weeks of my life. As a nurse all of the worst case scenario's went through my head. Sometimes a little bit of k owledge is a bad thing. If I slept for 3 hours a night I was lucky. It was just hell. On Friday I finally went for my appointment. I am hugely relieved to say the specialist is certain the lesion is benign. I have to go for an MRI scan but he has no concerns.
