Cosmos and Cauldrens on line Market

Create and Craft

The Covid 19 Pandemic has made us into different people. We are a lot more reliant on the Internet than we were. We have done more and more shopping on line over the past years, but this year while we have been in lockdown that has rocketed.      As a crafter i have always bought most of my supplies on line. We only have one craftstore in our area, and truthfully I find it rather expensive.     Many years ago now I became a Create and Craft Club Member, and this is my go to craft store. I have had a lot of stuff from them over the years. I bought my Scan and Cut from Create and Craft. This is absolutely the best bit of equipment I have in my craftroom. I use it everyday, and for just about everything. This is the newest Tattered Lace usb and it has just arrived. Im looking forward to using it, more so because it has Halloween cutting files on it. I have seen comments from people who are not happy with the service they get from Create and Craft, but i have to say i have never had ba

Cabinet of Curios

I have been working hard over the last few days on a piece i have wanted to do for a while. A little cabinet of curios.      I have used the Cutting Craftorium Caraftroom Secrets usb to cut the pieces to make the cabinet.         I cut all of rhe pieces from greyboard. For each piece i cut 3 layers and then glued them together to make a stronger piece. Doing this makes a piece with a similar density to MDF.       I chose this paper to decorate the box with.        I printed this paper from the Imagination Crafts Vol. 2 usb. It is one of the printable rice papers from The Gothic Kingdom Collection. I did not print it onto rice paper, I used super smooth paper. I love Imagination Crafts, everything they do is stunning. Having their products on a usb is a great idea. Its an unlimited source of some of my favorite products.      I covered the greyboard pieces in the paper. I could have cut the paper pieces from the files I used to cut the greyboard s

The Great Pumpkin is on The Way

Like many people I am a great fan of the Peanuts Cartoon Strip, and in particular the ever lovable dog Snoopy. What would the Pesnuts Gang be without him?. Anyone who follows the adventures of the Peanuts Gang will know its almost time for The Great Pumpkin. According to Linus he comes every year delivering toys and gifts to the good boys and girls who sit in the pumpkin patch on Halloween waiting for him to arrive. Of course he eaits every year  usually with Snoopy and The Great Pumpkin never arrives, but he never looses faith  and every year he is back thete waiting.     Halloween is still two months away, but of course we crafters have to get ready for it on lots of time. I am working on things for a craft fair  but I am also trying to get things made to go into my etsy shop. You can check out my shop here  Celticmoon Crafts Shop     These cute little treat bags are going in thos week. They will be £1.50 each and come in the four designs shown.     How ab

Crafty Truth 🤣🤣

10 Crafty Tips

Ten crafty tips I hope you will find useful and will make your crafty life easier 1) Soak your paint brushes in fabric conditioner for ten minutes before using them and paint will wipe of them easily. 2) Use a magnet to find lost pins and sewing needles 3) Sharpen blunt scissors by cutting through sandpaper a few times. 4) Wipe a tiny bit of petroleum jelly on the nozzle of your glue gun and it will prevent those annoying glue strings. 5) Clean shells you have collected for projects in a solution of half bleach and half water. 7) For a project that needs to be turned to work from different sides use a lazy susan, remember to cover it with a protective mat. 8) Wipe scissors with a baby wipe before cutting sticky tape. It will help prevent it sticking to your scissors. 9) Add a drop of washing up liquid to acrylic paint to prevent beading on the surface. 10) Punch cooking foil a few times to sharpen paper punches.

Memory Book Card

I have been caught up in the crafty pass time of Memory Book Making. Of course that means I need a good base card.      This was always my card of choice. Craft UK make very good quality card. This is 12 x 12 and 225gsm in weight. There are 20 sheets in the pack for £6.00 It cuts very well with both cutting dies and using my Scan and Cut.     I was browsing Amazon the other day and I found this card. Again it is 12 x 12, but 300gsm in weight, and 25 sheets in a pack at £6.99. 99p more for another 5 sheets, and heavier into the bargain. I tbought i would give it a go. Wow its beautiful card. Its very smooth to the touch. I am delighted to say it cuts like a dream. I think i shall be buying it again.

What is Your Favorite Craft?

Has anyone ever asked you what is your favorite craft? Do you do a lot of different crafts, or do you stick to one?     I have tried my hand at many different crafts over the years. I think I knitted first, for both my children and myself. I have done a bit of cross stitch. I love the end result but, it really doesnt grow fast enough for me. I discovered card making about 15 years ago, and i still love to make them..I have done a bit of scrapbooking and recently discovered Memory Book making, which is a bit of an obsession now. I'll do a post about my Memory Books another day.     Back to the original question of what is your favorite craft?      I recently started a journey Into Mixed Media and I am loving it. I start with a basic idea of what I want to do and it just evolves as I go along.     This was one of my first pieces. The main image is printed from the first Imagination crafts usb. I am hugely influenced by Mandy from Imagination Crafts. As you can see I decou

The perfect size for money or maybe a gift card.     Everyone loves a photo booth so these props will help your halloween party go with a swing     12 Zodiac Cards, one for everybody's birthday.      Last up is this Fallen Angel Wall Plaque. Ill keep you posted on what I make next.

Celticmoon Crafts

I started Celticmoon Crafts quite a few years ago now. As a passionate crafter I wanted to share my ideas with others, so I started to design my own craft sheets.         This is one of my favorite design sheets. I love anything Oriental.       I produced 20 card making CDroms, covering a range of subjects. This was one of my first CDroms. I love digital crafting. Its much more economical than buying ready printed sheets. If you run put just print another sheets. Of course I have been known to run put of ink before which isn't always good.       I made this card using one of my own designs. Anubis is my favorite Egyptian God. He gets a lot of undeserved bad publicity in my opinion.     I've done a lot of craft fairs in the past.  Sometimes they are very very good and sometimes very very bad. I have been to craft fairs where I have sold loads, and I have been to craft fairs where I haven't even covered my table price. Its j

Cosmos and Cauldrens

Covid 19 has changed the world in many ways  some for the better and some not so much. One thing people are great at is adapting to circumstances.      On of the things that has happened is the rise in the number of on line craft fairs. I had been looking at these for a while and decided to give it ago. I had a look around and I am pleased to announce I will be joining The Cosmos and Cauldrens on line market on August 28th and 29th     The event will take place on the event page on Facebook  so pop along and have a look. The market is halloween themed so I am sure there will be something you will like.     Stock up on my lovely Halloween treat bags.      I will also have these Zodiac Greeting Cards. They will be available individually or as a 12 card pack.       I look forward to seeing ypu there

In Need of a clear out

As anyone who loves papercrafting will tell you. You never throw anything away. It was getting a bit embarrassing in my craftroom. I wouldn't take anyone in there, they may never be seen again.    I recently bought two 60L swing bins from amazon for my craftroom. The plan was to put my offcuts of coloured card in one and black card into the other. I have spent the afternoon sorting out all of the card.      Embarrassed to say i have almost filled both bins. I am pleased to say i can see the floor again now.             Who knew this crafty goth had so much black card. I was actually surprised at how many other colours I had as well. Now they are all sorted out I better get on and use them all up.
